To educate the public about the positions of all candidates for the West Virginia Legislature on gun-related issues, WVCDL is surveying candidates on their positions on gun-related issues and making their responses available to the public.

Click here to view WVCDL's 2008 candidate surveys and responses. 40 of the 100 members elected to the House of Delegates and 6 of the 17 senators elected in 2008 participated in the first WVCDL legislative candidate survey. Unfortunately, due to the lack of legislative action on gun rights issues over the last two years, WVCDL's legislative candidate survey has become longer, not shorter.
