So, we all know that the new admin is going to come after gun owners and 2A rights with everything they can. Theyll weaponize EVERY agency and branch of the government and they will stack the Supreme Court.
So, will these so called "2A Sanctuaries" have any force or will they just get quashed by the system?
What happens when you don't follow the fed? They don't give you money. They don't have to weaponize any agency other than the treasury.
PS: amount of edits due to trying BBS code to get images to work.
Almost all of them are not worth the paper they're written on. Unless you have a governor who's ready to order the NG or State Police to pull your citizens out of a federal court house, it's useless.
This is why we're pursuing a "non-compliance" bill, which makes it illegal and arrestable to assist the feds in pursuing gun control in the state. It can't stop the feds, but the feds need locals 98% of the time. If this passes, they won't get that help here.
Thats about what i figured and the "non compliance" is great if we can get the votes.
Like always, that's where our members are the most important tool we have. Calls, Zoom meetings (this year), emails, letters, etc. All will be important.
Interesting times in our country, we have to stand together and let our voices be heard in Charleston.
"Sanctuary States/Cities/etc" are IMO are just a "feel good" measure which really does nothing at all.
Always remain vigilant, even if we'd be a true 2a/WV3-22 state, for there will always be anti gunners out to destroy our right to defend ourselves.
Hopefully things like this keep state and local governments putting it in writing that they will not accept or enforce unconstitutional laws. Things like Governor Abbott in Texas signing an executive order to protect their energy industry from government over reach is the same thing that needs done on the state level regarding federal over reach for gun control. It's high time the states took the power from the federal government and gave it back to the people.
@ericridenour, I would think WV would be in a good position to make this happen

I agree whole heartedly!

Again, our proposal this year is far more aggressive in defending 2A rights than such a feel-good maneuver. Stay tuned.
